For ten years now, in partnership with our distributor G3 Enterprises in the USA, we've been organising Wine Conversations, a DIAM event based on tasting top-of-the-range wines, market analysis and discussion. It's now a not-to-be-missed event, attended by over a hundred people every year in Napa and Sonoma, as well as in Oregon.
For this 10th anniversary, we organised 3 events, including a virtual one. In total, over 250 people attended the lectures given by Jamie Goode, all followed by a wine tasting with commentary by MS Evan Golstein.
For this occasion, we were able to offer two 10-year-old wines for tasting: a Charles Heidsick Champagne and an Oregon Pinot Noir from Domaine Erie, both from 2012.
The quality of the venue, the wines tasted and the discussions were all top-notch. But what we'll remember most about this year's event is the involvement and loyalty to our brand of the customers who came to present their wines for tasting. It's also worth noting that, in the post-event satisfaction questionnaire, when asked "What does diam mean to you?", 80% of the answers focused on the homogeneity of ageing and oxygen management... a fine echo of our vision of the cork-making profession.
